In the traditional milongas in Buenos Aires, it is well known that if you turn down an Argentinian guy who invites you, he probably won't bother you again.
A: If a guy turned down your interest down might you look to him another time?
B: Of course!
A: So when would you give up?
B: When it was clear he wasn’t going to change his mind.
