Being turned down

A: How do you manage to invite so directly, as if you’re not afraid of being turned down?

B: I’m not.  If they turn me down that’s their problem! It may not be anything to do with me. 

A: Did you always have that outlook?

B: No.

A: So how did you learn?

B: Life outside the milongas taught me!  

She doesn’t take rejection personally and she is right - there are too many reasons rejection may have nothing to do with you.  She said she is inside a bubble of own energy that keeps her safe. She puts those life lessons into practice in the milongas.
